The Cub Cadet PRO Z 972L EFI is the 72-inch member of the PRO Z 900 L Series, designed for commercial landscapers, property managers, and municipalities that need maximum productivity on large properties. With the widest deck in the L Series, it mows significantly more turf per hour while maintaining the professional cut quality and durability of Cub Cadet’s flagship commercial lineup.
Power comes from a 38.5 HP Kawasaki FX1000V V-Twin EFI engine (999cc) paired with a commercial 16cc Hydro-Gear 5400 transmission. Electronic fuel injection delivers efficient starts, strong power under heavy loads, and reduced fuel consumption. Dual 7.45-gallon fuel tanks (14.9 gallons total) support all-day commercial mowing.
The 72-in. triple-7-gauge fabricated steel cutting deck features top, bottom, and side reinforcements plus a 1/4" rolled leading edge. Triple Marbain® high-lift blades, 8-in. sealed cast-aluminum maintenance-free spindles, and the heavy-duty fully welded 3/8" x 5" laser-cut steel frame combine to handle daily commercial use.
